Tobacco's Harmful Impact on Oral Health and Cessation Opportunities - 11/9/2016

Scientific evidence clearly shows that there is no safe form of tobacco.  Evidence shows that the first harmful effects of tobacco on health is in the oral cavity.  Studies have found that over 60% of current tobacco users wish to quit.  Given these facts, this presentation will inform attendees about the harmful impact of tobacco on oral health and provide those in attendance with cessation information that can be incorporated into clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:

             Attendees will be able to discuss the harmful impact of tobacco on the oral cavity with their patients.

             Attendees will be able to discuss cessation support in the community.

             Attendees will be able to discuss the use of medications for tobacco cessation.
